Common US label sheet layouts
Store-bought sheets are known by the number of labels per page. Choose the layout you bought and the tool sets the positions for you. Rectangular layouts leave about 0.125 in between columns.

Print without misalignment
- Open the PDF and choose “Letter” paper at “100%” or “Actual size”.
- Turn off “fit to page”: it is the main cause of shifted labels.
- Run a test on plain paper, then hold it against a label sheet in front of a light to check alignment.
- Load the sheet the way your printer’s guide shows.
Label ideas
- Return address: bold name, address below, 30 per sheet.
- Jars and bottles: a round label with the name, contents and date.
- Handmade goods: icon, product name, ingredients and price.
- Meeting name tags: “Hello, my name is…” at 4 × 3⅓ in.
