Split a PDF and extract pages

Drop your PDF, pick pages by clicking thumbnails or typing ranges like 1-3, 5, 8-, then click Split PDF. You get one PDF with the pages you chose, or a ZIP when you ask for several files. Everything runs in your browser, so the document is never uploaded to a server.

4 ways to split a PDF
Pick the mode that matches what you need. In every mode, pages are copied without loss: text stays selectable and images keep their original quality.
| Mode | What you get | Example: "1-3, 5, 8-" on 10 pages |
|---|---|---|
| One file per range | One PDF per range, in a ZIP | 3 files: pages 1-3, page 5, pages 8-10 |
| Extract into one PDF | A single PDF with the chosen pages | 1 file with 7 pages (1, 2, 3, 5, 8, 9, 10) |
| One page per file | As many PDFs as pages | 10 one-page files |
| Every N pages | Even blocks | N = 4: pages 1-4, 5-8, 9-10 |
How to write page ranges
3 = page 3 · 2-6 = pages 2 to 6 · 8- = page 8 to the end · -4 = start to page 4
- Separate ranges with commas or spaces.
- The first page is number 1, as shown in your PDF viewer, not the number printed on the page.
- In extract mode your order is kept: 5, 1-2 puts page 5 before pages 1 and 2.
- A page that doesn't exist (say 12 in a 10-page PDF) triggers a clear error message.
Common uses
- Send a single page from a 20-page PDF, such as the signature page of a lease.
- Separate chapters of a course packet or manual into standalone files.
- Remove unwanted pages: extract everything but them, for example 1-4, 6- to drop page 5.
- Shrink an upload: keep only the pages you need before compressing.
3 real-life examples
Pull one page out of a lease
A 24-page lease where you only need the signature page, page 23. Type 23 in extract mode and you get a one-page PDF ready to send.
Remove page 5 from a 12-page report
Type 1-4, 6- in extract mode. The result keeps \( 4 + 7 = \) 11 pages: everything except the fifth.
Cut a 90-page manual into chapters
With Every N pages and \( N = 30 \) you get 3 files of 30 pages (1-30, 31-60, 61-90) bundled in a ZIP. For 100 pages with \( N = 30 \), the last file would only have 10.
