Flyer and poster sizes in the US
US paper sizes are not tied to the metric A series. The file is generated at 300 dpi, the resolution print shops expect.

Margins, bleed and crop marks
Most home printers leave about 0.2 in of blank border. A print shop trims the sheet after printing, so keep text at least 0.24 in (6 mm) from the edge, the white guide in the preview. If you check crop marks, the PDF adds a 0.4 in margin with corner marks. For full-bleed jobs at a print shop, ask for their exact bleed specs.
Build a flyer people actually read
- One main message: the headline, set very large.
- When and where before anything else: the date and place should be readable from six feet away.
- A photo or an icon to catch the eye, and never more than three fonts.
- A clear call to action: a phone number, email or website at the bottom.
