Custom QR code generator

Pick a content type (link, Wi-Fi, contact, email, SMS), a module style (square, rounded, dots), your colors and a center logo. The tool switches to maximum error correction (level H, 30%) with a logo and warns you if the contrast is too low to scan. Preview is free; the SVG and HD PNG are a one-time purchase.

How a QR code stays readable with a logo
A QR code carries redundancy: even if part of it is covered, a scanner can rebuild the message. There are four error correction levels, and the higher the level, the denser the code.
| Level | Recoverable | Best for |
|---|---|---|
| L | 7% | Clean code on a screen |
| M | 15% | Everyday printing |
| Q | 25% | Printing where smudges are likely |
| H | 30% | Codes with a center logo |
As soon as you add a logo, the tool switches to level H. Keep the logo under 20 to 25% of the code width.
Colors and contrast that still scan
- Pattern darker than the background: light codes on dark backgrounds are not read by every scanner.
- At least 3:1 contrast: the tool warns you below that.
- Quiet zone: leave 4 modules of margin around the code, never fewer than 2.
- Gradients: both colors should stay fairly dark.
For print, choose the SVG: it scales to any size without blur. For screens and documents, the 3000 px PNG is fine.
Content types you can encode
| Type | What scanning does |
|---|---|
| Link | Opens the page in the browser |
| Wi-Fi | Offers to join the network without typing the password |
| Contact (vCard) | Offers to add the contact card |
| Email, SMS, phone | Opens a prefilled message or call |
| Text | Shows the text |
Your content stays in your browser: nothing is sent to a server while you design.
3 real-life examples
A menu QR code with a logo
Type “Link”, menu URL, “Soft” style, restaurant logo at 20% of the width. The code moves to level H: 8 to 10 more modules than without a logo.
A guest Wi-Fi code
Type “Wi-Fi”, network name and WPA2 password. Print it on a 4×6 in card: guests join by scanning, with nothing to type.
A connected business card
Type “Contact”: name, company, phone, email. The “Dots” style with a purple gradient stays readable at 0.8 in wide on a business card.
